Glow Mama Launches Kiwi Drink for Moms-to-Be

Pregnant ladies have it rough: no raw fish, no stinky cheese, no martinis or champagne. Until my book comes out this December, does a baby bump mean nine months of nothing but amino acids and sparkling water? Not if Lucy Leahy has anything to do with it!

When Leahy, a mom herself, launched Glow Mama earlier this year, with the mom-to-be in mind. Drawing inspiration from her homeland (Lucy is a “kiwi” or native of New Zealand) she created an appetizing and healthful kiwi drink specifically for pregnant ladies. Once the light and refreshing elixir was ready to hit the market, she asked The Liquid Muse (ie: Yours Truly) to design non-alcoholic cocktails using Glow Mama.

I found Glow Mama to be delightful on its own, and due to its subtle flavor, it is wonderful to mix with other ingredients. Try the drinks I created for the Glow Mama launch. And, truth be told, pregnant or not, this kiwi juice is pretty darn tasty!

You will see more Glow Mama recipes in my book: “Preggatinis: Mixology for the Mom-to-be” which is due in December of this year. In the meantime, check out the Glow Mama website for more ideas!
